HOW TO REACH CRETE ?
Charter flights to Iraklion or Chania (Hania)
Other possibilities :
- flight to Athens and then domestic flight Athens-Chania (Olympic Airways or Aegean Airlines - 60 euros) or ferry Pirreus-Souda (9.00 am everyday -see Anek website - arriving 6.30 pm then public bus to the main bus station in Chania)
- ferries Italy-Greece (see Anek)
... PALEOCHORA
- from Iraklion : frequent public buses through Rethymnon to Chania (see Ktel website - 12,50 euros) then bus from Chania to Paleochora (8.30 am - 12.15 am - 4 pm/ 5,80 euros)
- from Chania Airport : taxi to Central bus station and then bus to Paleochora. A taxi from the airport to Paleochora cost 60 euros. You can also rent a car which will wait for you at the airport (between 25 and 30 euros a day)
- from Hania by car : the "new national road", direction Kastell-Kissamos till Tavronitis. Then, turn south direction Paleochora, passing Kandanos.
